Directors Note

During my freshman year at BYU, I had a crazy idea: to make a musical parody of Stranger Things. It sounded impossible, but I had a great group of friends who believed in me. Many of those friends have their names written in this program because they wouldn’t let me do something crazy all by myself. As I have worked on this project, I have grown to appreciate the love shown between Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Will. Those boys would do anything for each other. I have been blessed in my life to experience that kind of love and friendship that not everyone has. As you are watching this show remember that “a friend is someone who puts the party first and he forgives you when [you are] just the worst”. If it weren’t for my friends, I would have never made it this far. I am forever grateful for them and I hope you enjoy this show made with and inspired by them.

Cast Bio's

Allie Taylor

Alison Taylor is technically a Junior, who recently transferred from the other BYU-P. That is, BYU Pluto. Her black market connections know her simply as “Allie”. She has performed for several famous beings such as Emperor Palpatine, Vilgax, the Royal Family of the Galran Empire, Khan, and Thanos. On a completely unrelated note, she enjoys experimenting with exotic poisons.  She is very excited about Weirder Stuff, and hopes to perform in more xeno-positive shows in the future.

Elizabeth Larsen

Elizabeth Larsen has LITERALLY been preparing for this role since the moment she was born. Favorite past credit includes staring as Shrubbery #32 in the hit musical- Entering the Forrest, and Tree #11 in the stirring classic- Whittler on the Roof.

Elizabeth Larson
Josh C. Bauer

Josh C. Bauer once ate a piece of a ceiling tile. When asked about his motivations, he refused any further explanation. Additionally, when asked about his so-called “moon buddies,” which Bauer has mentioned publicly on several occasions, all he had to say was “[They] come out at night. Only I can see them.” He currently resides in Provo, UT in an unknown location.

Leif Jorgenen

The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.

Peter Morgan

“Peter Morgan (Dustin) is from an alternate dimension where you actually HAVE to have a beard to get admitted to BYU (yes even girls need beards). He is happy to be in a show for the first time with his husband, Skyler Denfeld (don’t worry, Skyler is straight so they are upholding the Honor Code). Peter is a world renowned, unlicensed performer of underwater lobotomies with no oxygen tank.”

Peter Moragn
Reyna Shumway

From the frozen wasteland of Chiceggo, IL, Reyna is a senior in the LMNOP program (Low-key Maltreatment of Nasty Overpaid Persons) with a minor in bowling management.  She is in seven-eleventh heaven to be making her acting debut in Weirder Stuff! When she is not onstage, Reyna enjoys baking Cheerios from scratch. She hopes to open her own bakery someday whilst pursuing her acting career.

Sariah Lyles

Sariah Lyles is an accomplished Oscar the Grouch impersonator hailing from the sunny city of Townsville. Recent credits include Orange Flip Flop #4 In To be a Shoe and Left Shark. Sariah is excited to make her PVC Pipe Dream debut in timeless Italian tragedy.

Skyler Denfeld

“Skyler Denfeld (Dr. Marty Brenner) was the first man to go underground on the moon, his genes are infused with those of a seahorse and an orangutan, and he is also your fairy godmother. He would like to share a message with each and every one of you: ‘I love you. Your hair is like golden wheat swaying in a summer breeze. Your eyes are like shimmering pools of lake water. Your smile is like the flaming sun. Merry Christmas.'”

Tristan Foster
